We now offer individual and small group travel arrangements.  This can be to any places you wish at any time of the year. . This are offered for those of you who can not fit our normal tours into your schedule. They will NOT include the many unique stops and places on my normal tours - as many artists, musicians and people do this as a favor to me - I can not ask too much. They do these things for the love of their culture and not for a living - they have real jobs just like us. However they will be a wonderful experience - all done by natives,
who know their part of Europe very well.  If this will be a better option for you please contact Mark by email or call Forest Lake Travel - Deb at 1-888-427-8687

Our detailed itineraries are a little vague on purpose.
This is done for variety of very good reasons:
1 ) We try VERY hard to keep you away from hoards of tourists, and try to show you a real European experience. Once our secret places or things are found by general travelers at large, they will over time become more touristy and cease to be un-trampled and untouched old world experience your looking for.
2 ) Places change hands, the best restaurant chef leaves, things happen to people and places.  We plan these tours a year or more in advance, it's impossible for everything to remain exactly the same as when we first planned it. SO we keep our itinerary rather open to see what local things come up or are organized closer to our departure date. ( Don't worry we always have too much to see and do,  you will NOT be sitting in a hotel room someplace twitting your fingers ! - you can do that at home. )
3 ) We must be very good at what we do, as we have found our tours copied completely a number of times by other agency's and tour operators.  Why go on a pale copy, when we offer you the unique original!   We have a number of people who return with us many times, because no two tours are the same, we are constantly adding new places, and unknown finds.  Our number one fan is a lady from Southern California who has been on 7 tours.

The Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland did join the EU = European Union on May 1st 2004.They do NOT use the EURO= European money system yet. ( it will be a few years yet until they qualify). BUT they do qualify for the new EU taxes which in most cases is 19%. Yes that is correct and not a typo.  Starting on Jan. 1, 2005 hotels, restaurants, and many things will have an additional 19% tax added. So again the longer you wait to visit the best parts of Europe, the more it will cost you.

***** Update = the US dollar has dropped in value to a all time low against both the Czech Crown and the Euro = The Czech Crown has even gained in value against the Euro.  So everything has gotten much more expensive in the Czech Republic. Not knowing what you are doing, and to make a few mistakes, will now be a very expensive lesson. Save yourself the trouble, expense and stress =  take a Heritage Tour and let us take care of you !

Don't delay your dreams............Happy travels !
